- I read The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. It was sad, horrifying, violent.
- I fiddled around with some more JS stuff, tried out Django but found it too advanced for me, and felt the full spectrum of excitement and despair that comes with learning this and thinking that this is an industry I want to be a part of. (??? you know)
- I started watching Haikyuu!! with my partner. It’s a wholesome anime about volleyball. It’s the most wholesome sports series I’ve seen so far! (My comparisons are Kuroko no Basket and Prince of Tennis, which are enjoyable but also ridiculous in comparison.)
- I’m making my partner watch Leverage with me, which is my favourite tv show in the world. It’s as campy and fun and anti-corporation as I remember.
In other normal, boring life enjoyments*: I went out for pasta twice, tried a new bubble tea place, went to my first Cirque du Soleil show (Luzia, it was very beautiful!!!), ate spicy Indomie, bought one of my favourite wines, spent time in a cute cafe and ate melonpan, made it to year 5 in Stardew Valley, and painted my nails.
*Hmm, this normal boring life enjoyment section sparks more joy than my ‘here are my somewhat Accomplishments to make myself feel productive’ section. I also struggled with some bad brain thoughts during this time and am tempted to define these weeks by that, but I also experienced these joyful things. Ah, life.
